—Moves to draw on executives’ core strengths and position company as leader in voice solutions for mid-tier cable operators—
LOUISVILLE, Ken. – SinglePipe, Inc. (www.singlepipe.net), a leading provider of voice, data and application services, today announced the strategic restructuring of its leadership team. The changes, effective today, better position the company for growth as it prepares for a market and product expansion on the heels of the recently announced funding of the company.
Jeff Carr, who has served as SinglePipe’s chief operating officer since 2008, has been named chief executive officer of the company. Carr replaces Matt Phillips, who will move to the role of vice chairman-corporate development. Phillips joined the company at its inception in 2006 and had been a key driver of SinglePipe’s early success, including leading the company in two successful rounds of financing.
“Jeff brings proven business acumen to the leadership team, and we are confident that he will leverage his technology and business experience to accelerate the company’s growth,” said George Tronsrue, Executive Chairman. “Further, we are grateful for Matt’s contributions in establishing the company as a premier provider of services for mid-tier cable operators. We are pleased that he will continue with the company to further its development focusing on strategic partnerships and potential acquisitions in this space.”
Carr is well suited to lead SinglePipe as CEO. He brings 15 years of technology and business expertise to the leadership role after having developed a well-rounded career as an entrepreneur, operator and consultant. Prior to joining SinglePipe, he was a partner in Accenture’s Global Technology Consulting practice. Prior to that, he was COO of ZoomTown, a subsidiary of Cincinnati Bell, Inc., which provides Internet and data services to consumers and businesses.
In addition, Cynthia Carpenter has joined the leadership team as president and COO and maintains responsibility for sales, marketing, product management and customer operations. She will drive overall profitability for the company and the SinglePipe product suite. Prior to joining the company, she was founder and president of Wheelhouse Strategies, a strategic marketing consultancy targeting venture-backed startup technology companies. Before founding the firm, she was vice president of business operations and marketing for Level 3 Communications where she oversaw operations and marketing of wholesale IP voice communications and transport services. In addition, Carpenter has served at Cablevision, High Speed Access Corporation, Time Warner Cable and Starz Encore Group in a variety of leadership positions.
“Cynthia’s experience in both cable and telecommunications operations and marketing makes her uniquely qualified to lead SinglePipe’s further development of value-rich product and service packages for our customers,” said Carr. “We’re pleased to add her considerable expertise to the team.”
